Redis cache
Attach and understand Control-managed Redis cache resources.
Control-managed Redis provides a Site-scoped cache for eligible PHP, Node.js and Python Sites.
Choose Redis hosting
Before attaching a new cache, choose the Redis hosting mode in Site Settings → Managed Cache:
- Site-owned service — a Redis service dedicated to that Site.
- Legacy shared ACL — the existing shared Redis service with a Site-specific identity and key prefix.
Existing Redis attachments are not silently moved between hosting modes. Moving a live cache should be treated as a separate application change and tested before production use.
Attach and use the cache
Select Redis · managed after choosing the hosting mode. Control shows the managed cache identity and key prefix after attachment. Configure the application with the connection information provided for that Site.
Application-owned cache services
A private Redis/Valkey service supplied by a curated container application is application-owned and is managed through that application's lifecycle instead of this independent cache control.
