Move from another control panel

Move selected Plesk workloads into Control using the supported Migration assistant.

Use Control's Plesk Migration Assistance to review and move selected websites and services from a Plesk server.

Prepare Plesk

Install the Control Migration extension on the source Plesk server and obtain its pairing token. If the Plesk interface does not show Upload Extension, a Plesk administrator can enable manual extension uploads once:

printf '\n[ext-catalog]\nextensionUpload = true\n' >> /usr/local/psa/admin/conf/panel.ini

Then open Extensions → My Extensions → Upload Extension and select the extension ZIP. Use server administrator access only for that one-time setup.

Connect and review

  1. On the destination Control server open Migration → Add Source → Plesk.
  2. Enter the requested connection details.
  3. Select Discover and review the Sites, databases, mail, scheduled jobs and other available records.
  4. Select the groups and individual resources to copy. You do not have to migrate everything on the source.
  5. Review file locations and any unresolved ownership mapping.
  6. Follow the export, transfer and import steps shown by Control.

DNS and mail

External DNS is not replaced simply because the source contains records. Mailboxes, provider settings and public DNS may need separate steps. Your original Plesk server stays in use until you choose to move traffic.
