Install Control and reach a safe first production Site.

New server path

  1. Check the supported operating system and DNS prerequisites.
  2. Use the direct installer shown on the Control Downloads page. Use the manual release method only when you need to move the release yourself.
  3. Sign in with the first Administrator token and create your Administrator account.
  4. Give the management hostname a trusted TLS certificate.
  5. Review Components and install only the hosting capabilities you need.
  6. Review Security and enable UFW when you are ready.
  7. Configure a backup destination.
  8. Create a non-production Site and verify HTTP/HTTPS, storage and SFTP before moving a production workload.

Existing server path

Do not assume Control will adopt pre-existing websites, Nginx virtual hosts, Linux users, databases or certificates. Read Using Control on an existing server and migrate workloads deliberately into Control-managed Sites.
