Static and reverse-proxy Sites

Host static files directly or place a Control-managed hostname in front of an external application.

Static Sites

A Static Site serves files directly. Use Storage, SFTP or Git deployment to publish the content. It is a good choice for generated static sites and simple file hosting.

Reverse proxy Sites

A Reverse proxy Site keeps the hostname, HTTPS, logs, health and supported Site lifecycle in Control while forwarding requests to an application managed elsewhere.

Provide the upstream URL and, where needed, host-header, TLS SNI and health-path settings. The upstream application itself remains outside Control's application lifecycle.

Use a reachable private or public upstream and verify the health path before moving production traffic.
