Choose Python for WSGI/ASGI applications and Site-owned Python tasks.

Site creation

Select the available Python runtime, application mode/target and requirements file. Control creates the Site environment used by supported deployment flows.

Dependencies and environment

Install application dependencies into the Site's Python environment and keep secrets in Runtime Environment rather than source control.

Migrated virtual environments

A virtual environment copied from another server may not be directly portable. When Control recognises a migrated Python environment used by a scheduled job, it treats that environment as a runtime dependency and can rebuild it using a destination Python runtime and the recovered dependency information.

The scheduled job waits while the runtime is being repaired. If dependency reconstruction fails, review the Python runtime error rather than repeatedly changing the job definition.

Workers and jobs

Use Background Workers and Scheduled Jobs for additional Python application processes. These tasks remain linked to the Site but have their own execution/result state.
