Mail Settings
Set up outgoing email and test it before relying on password recovery, Forms or subscriptions.
Mail Settings controls email sent by this site. Configure it before enabling features that depend on successful delivery.
Choose the sender
Use a sender address on a domain you control. The From name should make it clear which site sent the message.
Configure delivery
Enter the SMTP details supplied by your mail provider where SMTP is being used. Keep credentials private and avoid copying them into documentation, screenshots or support messages.
Send a test
- Save the Mail Settings.
- Use the built-in test message and confirm it arrives.
- Check the spam/junk folder as well as the inbox.
- Test Forgot Password from a signed-out browser if password recovery will be used.
- Test a real Form or subscription flow if those features send mail.
When mail fails
Open the mail delivery history and System → Background Jobs. A message may be correctly queued but unable to leave the server because of SMTP, DNS or provider settings.
