Background work is not running
Check automatic background processing before adding a manual scheduler
Use this guide when queued work does not advance automatically or a background operation repeatedly fails.
1. Check Background Jobs
Open System → Background Jobs and inspect the current job. Confirm whether it is queued, running or failed and read the latest error before starting anything again.
2. Check Site Health
Open System → Site Health → Diagnostics for the current processing capability and Errors for recent failures.
3. Use manual execution only as a test
Run Due Jobs Now can help confirm whether work itself is valid. If jobs only advance manually, automatic background processing still needs attention.
4. Use the scheduler fallback only when required
If Micro CMS reports that the host cannot run background work automatically, configure the supported hosting scheduler. Do not weaken PHP security settings simply to make work start.
