Legal Holds
Locate a specifically reported public record, quarantine it under a legal or abuse reference, and release the hold when authorised.
Bridge → Legal Holds provides a Bridge Owner workflow for a specifically reported public URL. It is an operational enforcement tool and does not replace your organisation's legal review or record-keeping process.
Locate the reported record
Enter the exact public URL supplied in the request. Add the observed date and time when the domain or path may have changed since the content was seen, then choose Locate Record.
Review the match
Confirm the matched Silo, record type, reported route and any route interval before taking action. If Micro CMS cannot identify one safe match, do not guess from a similar filename or URL.
Quarantine
For a confirmed match, enter the legal, notice, case or ticket reference and a concise reason, then choose Quarantine Record. Public delivery of the matched record remains unavailable while the hold is active.
Placement availability
Legal Hold actions are available only where the selected Silo placement supports this workflow. If Admin reports that Legal Holds is unavailable for the current placement, do not attempt to bypass that restriction. Use the supported operational process for that Silo or escalate to the Host operator.
Legal Hold History
The history records active and released holds with the public route and supplied reference. Use it to confirm whether a reported record is already under an active hold.
Release
Choose Release only when the hold is authorised to end. Micro CMS restores normal availability where that can be done safely; it does not overwrite unrelated data to force a release.
