ZIP files & package uploads

Several Micro CMS and WordPress products are distributed as ZIP files. Keep the archive intact unless a guide specifically tells you to extract it.

Uploading a package

When an Admin screen asks for a package ZIP, select the downloaded ZIP itself. Do not upload a folder created by extracting it first.

Renaming

You can rename the downloaded ZIP for your own filing if needed, but do not edit files inside a signed Micro CMS package. Changing packaged files can make the release fail its trust or integrity checks.

Keep release files separate

Keep approved release downloads separate from test builds so it is clear which package is intended for installation.
