Audit Logs

Filter events

Use Search with Account, Subsystem, Category, Object, Event and Result filters to narrow the Site audit domain. From and To are presented together as one Date range filter.

Audit Logs provide a history of actions which are useful for accountability and troubleshooting.

What to look for

Use the log when you need to confirm who changed a setting, deployed a package, ran a security action or performed another recorded administrative operation.

Retention

Audit retention is controlled by Housekeeping settings. Choose a period long enough for the way the site is operated.

Not a backup

An audit entry can explain what happened, but it does not contain a complete copy of the site state. Use backups for recovery.
