Problems after moving a site

Check public address, hosting path, Media, sign-in and scheduled work after relocation

When several unrelated features break immediately after a move, look for one shared domain/path/configuration problem before fixing each symptom separately.

Check the public site address

Confirm Site Settings and the web server agree on the canonical domain and any subdirectory. Test both the public homepage and a deeper Page.

Check Admin and cookies

If sign-in loops or immediately returns to Login, verify that you are using the final intended site address rather than a mixture of old/new domains or paths.

Check Media

Open a recently uploaded Media item. If old and new files both fail, check the Media public path and host routing before editing content URLs.

Check Background Jobs and mail

Any host-level scheduled task or mail restriction may need updating after a server move. Test a background job and a mail test separately.

Check old URLs

Use Redirects & 404s for meaningful public routes that changed during cutover.
