Moderation
Process comments and reports that need an explicit decision.
Moderation is the working queue for interaction items that should not be published or dismissed automatically.
Work from the oldest or highest-priority items
Open each item, read the surrounding content where necessary and make one clear decision. Avoid approving something simply because it has been waiting a long time.
Use Reports as context
Visitor reports can help explain why a comment needs attention, but a report is not proof on its own. Review the actual comment and the relevant site rules.
Keep moderation separate from editing
If an item needs rewriting, do not silently change the visitor's meaning. Approve, reject or remove according to the moderation tools and your published policy.
