Visibility and preview
Choose who can see content and preview unpublished changes safely.
Visibility controls who can open content. Preview lets an authorised editor check a draft in the real site design without publishing it.
Public
Public content is available through its normal route once published. Search, archives and navigation can include it according to the rest of the site configuration.
Private and protected content
Use the available private or protected options when content should not be generally visible. The editor shows the state clearly so you do not have to infer it from the URL.
Preview a draft
Choose Preview Draft from the editor or content list. Preview uses the current site presentation, making it suitable for checking layout, Media, links and responsive behaviour before publication.
Do not share preview addresses as public links
A preview is an editing tool, not a publishing method. Publish the content or use the appropriate access control when another person needs a stable public-facing link.
