Applications

Create, install, import and open Site Applications while respecting Host package policy.

Extensions → Applications manages Site Applications and the pages and assets that belong to them.

Application catalogue

The catalogue shows each Application, whether it is ready, its type and its source. Open an available Application to manage its Application Pages and files.

Choosing how to build an Application

Styles. Choose Application CSS for plain stylesheets that ship as written. Choose Tailwind when you want utility classes. When Tailwind authoring is available, Micro CMS rebuilds the Application styles from its Tailwind source; Rebuild Styles is available when you need to run that build again.

Layout. Use Site header and footer when the Application belongs inside the normal Site experience and should share its navigation and design. Use fullscreen when the Application provides its own interface and should own the whole page.

Source. Create a Native Application, or install a signed Native Application package, when Micro CMS should hold the source and you will manage it in Admin. Import a browser Application when you already have a finished app as a ZIP. Recognised HTML becomes editable Application Pages, while shared JavaScript, CSS and assets stay with the Application. Micro CMS relocates recognised references to the Application's mounted route and leaves anything it cannot safely classify for review. A Tailwind import needs its Tailwind input and configuration when you want Micro CMS to rebuild those styles.

Create an Application

Where your role and Host policy allow local authoring, choose Create, name the Application, select Application CSS or Tailwind, and choose whether its pages use the Site header and footer or a fullscreen Application layout.

Install a Native Application

The Install tab accepts a Native Application package. Signed packages are verified during installation. A Bridge Host can require verified packages or disable Application installation for managed Silos.

Import a browser Application

The Import tab accepts an Application ZIP. HTML becomes editable Application Pages, while shared CSS, JavaScript and assets remain with the Application when used.

Host policy

If Create, Install or Import is unavailable, review the message shown by Admin. On a managed Silo, the Host may restrict local or unverified Applications without preventing already-approved Applications from being used.
