Final WordPress cutover

Complete the WordPress to Micro CMS move only after the destination has been reviewed as a real site.

Cutover is the point where visitors stop using the WordPress site and start using the Micro CMS site. Do it only after the destination is ready to stand on its own.

Final destination checks

  • Important Pages and Posts open at the intended routes.
  • Images, downloads, galleries and embeds load.
  • Navigation and search reach the correct content.
  • Forms and outgoing mail have been tested.
  • Redirects exist for important WordPress URLs that changed.
  • Site Health has no unresolved error that would block launch.
  • A current Micro CMS backup/recovery point exists.

Change the public route

Update the domain, hosting route or reverse-proxy configuration according to the deployment plan. Keep the old WordPress installation available privately for a short verification window when practical.

Remove migration access

Revoke the Migration Bridge token, deactivate the plugin and remove it from WordPress. The finished Micro CMS site should not depend on the source connection.

After launch

Watch Redirects & 404s, Forms/mail and the main analytics/traffic indicators for broken links or missed routes. Fix meaningful issues at the destination rather than reopening the migration unnecessarily.
